IAEC.

· The

approval for experiment-ation on large  animals is given by

Sub-committee of large Animals (SCLA) which meets every alternate month.

(iv)

 Montreal Protocol-Projects approval (Ozone Cell)

 Not  possible to indicate the time norms for this function as the time varies from project to project.  

· The ESC is responsible to the MoE&F for its

overall functioning. It will devise its own rule of procedure for grants and implementation of the Protocol.

· The Committee meets once in each quarter

to take decision based on the recommend-ations of the Standing  Committees on issues relating to the implementation of the ODS -Phase-out projects.

· JS/Addl. Secy. is the Member-Secy. of the

said Committee. Dir(O.Cell) is the Member -Secy. of the Standing Committees.

(v)

Environment Clearance relating to Mining Projects(IA-Div.)

Regulatory

(i)

Diversion cases referred to National Board for Wildlife for necessary recommendation (Wildlife Div.) 

Minimum four months

·      The proposal should be formulated by the State Government along with recommendation of State Board for Wildlife wherever required.

·      Specific recommendation from the concerned Chief Wildlife Warden of the State.

·      It should provide all the necessary information including maps also.

The meeting of the Standing Committee of National Board for Wildlife is held after every three/ four months.  If, required the site inspections are also carried out by the Members of the Standing Committee/

experts.

The site inspection report is then placed before the Committee for consideration.
