CATEGORY OF WORKS AND THEIR COMPLETION

 

To accomplish the task, 261 schemes of pollution abatement concerning municipal activities have been sanctioned under GAP. These include, 88 interception & diversion schemes, 35 sewage treatment plants, 43 low cost toilets, 28 electric crematoria, 35 river front development and another 32 schemes of miscellaneous category.

The Ganga Aaction Plan Phase-I have been declare closed since 31-03-2000.

260 schemes have been completed. The remaining one scheme, of 13 mld of Munger is yet to be completed . Out of a total of 35 STPs to be setup under GAP Phase-I, 34 have been completed and made operational. A sewage treatment capacity of 869 mld has been created under the programme so far.
