Research Advisory Committee :

    Functions;

(i) :-Advise the Authority on innovative approaches and cost effective treatment technologies.
(ii) :-Evaluate the techno-economic viability of different pollution abatement technologies.
(iii) :-Identify gaps between the present approach under the ongoing river cleaning programs and that envisaged under the NGRBA, to make these programs more effective and meaningful.
(iv) :-Identify broad thematic areas for initiating pilot scale, site specific R& D activities pertaining to NGRBA. The proposals under these could be invited, suggested or proposed by academic institutions or individuals.
(v) :-To appraise and recommend R& D proposals for NGRBA.
(vi) :-To monitor & evaluate the progress of approved R& D projects.
