NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 1^st July, 2004

S.O.753(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section(3) of Section1 of the Biological Diversity Act 2002 (18 of 2003), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1^st day of July, 2004, as the date on which the following Sections of the said Act shall come into force, namely:-

1. Sections 3 to 7 (both inclusive);

2. Sections 18 to 47 (both inclusive);

3. Sections 49 to 53 (both inclusive);

4. Sections 55 to 58 (both inclusive);

5. Sections 60 and 61.
