NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 1^st October, 2003

S.O 1146 (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002 ( 18 of 2003), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1^st day of October, 2003 as the date on which the following sections of the said Act shall come into force, namely: -

(1) Sections 1 and 2;

(2) Sections 8 to 17 ( both inclusive);

(3) Sections 48, 54,59, 62,63,64 and 65.
